EXPERIENCE

For over 25 years Hawk Storm has tried lawsuits ranging from the smallest and simplest to the largest and most complex. Cases... 

  • ...where damages ranged from $500 to $2,750,000,000;
  • on both sides of the docket;
  • in almost every area of the law;
  • in regular cases and class actions; and,
  • where both equitable and legal relief were sought.

Hawk Storm served on trial teams in cases where damages were as high as $13,000,000,000.

Hawk Storm successfully defended one of 26 defendents in this country’s largest drug conspiracy prosecution.

He also served as General Counsel for various and different businesses advising on all areas of the law.

He began practicing law in Dallas, Texas in 1972, and was a managing partner at Burleson, Pate & Gibson, from 1987 through 1994. Since then he has worked almost exclusively in dispute resolution as an arbitrator and mediator. With over a hundred hours of initial training, Hawk Storm has arbitrated for the National Association of Securities Dealers (FINRA) and American Arbitration Association. He is qualified to chair the National Association of Securities Dealers' most complex Securities and Employment cases.

SEMINARS

Hawk Storm has spoken at numerous seminars on the right to privacy.  His above article and outline have been used in the curriculum at Baylor University Law School.

EDUCATION AND LICENSE

Hawk Storm received his B.B.A. from Baylor University in 1969, and received his J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law in 1972.  He has been licensed by the State Bar of Texas since 1972.

In law school, Hawk Storm was a contributing member of the Texas International Law Journal and served as President of the Texas International Law Journal Association in 1980.

IN THE COMMUNITY

From 1990-1993, Hawk Storm volunteered at Bryan’s House in Dallas with very young children suffering from HIV and AIDS, including holding them at their time of passage. During the years 2006 and 2007, Hawk Storm served as Chancellor for the St. Stephens Episcopal School in Wimberley, Texas. He served as Chairman of the Board for the Shared Table in Taos, New Mexico from 1997 through 2001.
